DescriptionIndex cards from research projects undertaken in the department these include: card index of defaulters, in alphabetical order, from Phase II of a project [possibly relating to the G.P.O health surveys by occupation e.g. engineers, night telephonists]. Other index cards refer to British Council staff including name, address, doctor's address and three figure survey number, possibly related to Whitehall Study [British Council members were included in cohort] and an index of women who were included in research on stillborn deaths in the United Kingdom, some entries including cause of death of the infant.
