Papers principally relating to correspondence between OPCS/ONS and LSHTM regarding death and cancer notifications within Whitehall Study [referred to as 'Health of Civil Servants- MR865]. Correspondence refers to missing death and cancer notifications, delivery of notifications and includes other letters relating to proposed scanning and indexing of the study's questionnaires. Other material includes: a glossary for abbreviations used on notification slips; photocopies of death certificates of Whitehall Study volunteers; Whitehall Study questionnaires and draft copy of the article, 'Height and Mortality in Adulthood: Early Life, Socio-Economic Confounding or Shrinkage?' by David A Leon et al, published in Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, 1995.
