Description
Correspondence between Dr Patrick Hamilton and Dr Harry Keen, medical investigator at Guy's Hospital who supervised blood testing during Whitehall Study health screening and later follow-up study on borderline diabetes. Correspondence refer to establishment and administration of the study; clinical arrangements and results of the blood screening during survey; discussion of borderline diabetes survey and also other surveys such as the G.P.O health survey. The letters also include attached material such as briefing papers, tables of results, Medical Research Council grant proposal on 'Mechanisms of Arterial Disease in a Diabetic Population Sample' and article reprint, 'Further Observations on the Diurnal Variation in Oral Glucose Tolerance', R J Jarrett and H Keen, British Medical Journal, 7 November 1970. File also includes letters received from John F Fuller, Guy's Hospital, about borderline diabetes study on Whitehall Study cohort.
