Description
Research and experimental notes and data produced by Joseph Sonnabend during his working life spanning his main research interests of interferon; sexual transmitted diseases, HIV and AIDS. Material includes experimental notebook and data from his studies on the mechanisms of interferon chiefly from his work at the National Institute for Medical Research, Mill Hill, 1963-1968; 1972-1973. Later material relates to epidemiological work on STDs, HIV and AIDS in New York City and HIV and AIDS treatment trials such as AZT and PCP prophylaxis treatment.
