Description
Edition of 'Tropic', the Sunday magazine of the Miami Herald. Contains an extensive article on Dr. Margaret Fischl by Elinor Burkett. The article tells the story of how Fischl developed AZT as a means of managing HIV/AIDS as well as the controversy surrounding it. Segment of the article on pages 12-13, sub headed under 'Sloppy research?' is in reference to Sonnabend's response to Fischl's research and the development of AZT, called it 'sloppy'. Filed by Dr Simon Watney under the title 'A.Z.T.'
