Description
Scientific research papers including experimental notebooks and notes of interferon research undertaken at the National Institute for Medical Research. Sonnabend joined the department in 1963 and worked there until 1968 before returning between 1973-1973. Sonnabend's research included among other topics the replication of the Semliki forest virus (SFV); development of resistance to interferon and the effect of interferon on protein synthesis. Alongside his scientific work, Sonnabend also served as the Staff Medical Officer, 1965-1966. Papers include correspondence, lecture notes and scientific data sets and publications.
