Description
Acknowledges Ross' reprints, says that he will send copies of his own papers on insects and will also write and tell him of any new developments as he is not allowed to publish anything without permission of the Secretary of State for India so that there is a delay. He has seen a review of a summary of R Koch's lecture which, as Koch was supposed to have said that malaria is spread 'by mosquitoes depositing their eggs on the human body', he concluded must have been misunderstood. Gives a summary of the facts he has discovered about the mode of transmission of malaria and says that he is leaving for Assam to study kala-azar.
