Description
He has consulted the Royal Society, who say that they will only keep Jourdain's manuscript if it is submitted for publication so he asks what Jourdain wants done. He has just discovered that work he had done on the solution of equations had been anticipated in 1895 but he has only just seen it mentioned in spite of all the books that he has read.
