When he used a thermo-electric thermometer previously patients objected to its rectal use. He does not require such accuracy for his experiments and therefore one placed in the armpit would suffice. Asks how much a model made to his design would cost and accepts the offer of a loan of a thermo-electric thermometer. He will try to visit Cambridge on 6th December
