Title
Letter from Charles Arthur Johnston
Date
11/7/1899
Description
Agrees that the parasites he found in pigeon's blood might not have been malaria parasites. Asks for a copy of Ross' address and where he can find papers on the subject. Also points out that originally Ross thought that malaria might be caught by drinking water contaminated by dead mosquitoes. He has been using injections of bisulphate of quinine for treatment with excellent results and he has had a patient who was thought to have malaria but who turned out to have pulmonary tuberculosis
