Congratulates Watson on his knighthood and that he has been pressing for it for ten years. He will endeavour to come to Glasgow for the award of Watson's LL.D but is uncertain if he can manage it. The Ross Institute has now got £12,000 but it looks unlikely that they can now have the house near Regents Park
