Letter

Description
He has been investigating blood sucking flies which feed on birds infected with halterdium but in none of them has he found pigmented cells which is another indication that the pigmented cells are pathological. Discusses the cells and what their relation is to malaria and thanks Manson for writing to J Cleghorn, but thinks he may have an unsatisfactory reply. The Principal Medical Officer, Bombay, has refused to forward any applications for leave and that even if he were transferred back to Secunderabad he could work on malaria until June.
