Includes: a table and notes showing food consumption levels in Barbados, 1944; paper concerning the 'Barbados Nutrition Scheme' which was established in 1937 to give school children milk and biscuits at school everyday, 1947; a report on a visit to a hospital in Barbados in April 1947; poster concerning the 'Barbados Nutrition Scheme in public elementary schools, November 1947 and examples of nutrition education and promotional schemes, including a 'Food for Family Fitness' survey, list of cookery demonstrations, draft 'nutrition fact' leaflets, a leaflet entitled 'rule to follow to ensure a good diet', and a leaflet on cookery skills produced by the house craft centre, Barbados, 1947.
