Description	Letter sent to Dr Jane Cope, MRC from Dr Elizabeth Wilson with copies sent to participants of the Chief Scientist AIDS meeting attaching minutes and report from Chief Scientist's meeting on AIDS research held on the 4 June 1989. The minutes include a copy of the discussion paper, 'AIDS and HIV Infection: A Strategy for research CSAM [89] 1' and other related attachments including papers on research into AIDS from the MRC Directed and Strategic Programmes and the epidemiological data of the epidemic provided by the Public Health Laboratory Service. File also contains photocopies of early HIV/AIDS awareness advertisements ('Don't aid AIDS') and television and radio advert scripts for the Department of Health. An attached note states that some were developed and used within the UK.
