Description
National Institute of Public Health (Folkhalsoinstitutet, FHI) was created in 1992 to develop health strategies with the Gender and Health Unit responsible for programmes concerning HIV/AIDS, STDs and family planning. Public health campaigns were co-ordinated by an AIDS Council that included members from the Board of Health and Welfare, the Institute for Infectious Disease Control, Noah's Ark , RFSU, RFSL and local associations and authorities.
Material includes newsletters, brochures regarding AIDS public health campaigns, leaflets, flyers, CD-Rom public education resource and compiled circulars relating to HIV/AIDS. Majority of material is written in Swedish but also includes English language editions and only French language produced leaflet.
