Caption on reverse 'British scientist on expeditions to the tropics collect many different kinds of disease carriers such as insects and snails, which they later breed in the laboratories for research work. Here, in the Snail Laboratory at LSHTM, Professor JJC Buckley discourses to students on the disease carrying snail which he is holding in his left hand. Small aquaria are full of snails (on the left of picture) which carry such worm diseases as elephantiasis.
