Papers relating to the RCP Smoking an Air Pollution Committee, established in 1968 to produce a report into the health effects and recommendations against air pollution in the United Kingdom, with a separate report on health effects of tobacco smoking. Donald Reid was a member of the committee with Jerry Morris (1910-2009), Dr Patrick Joseph Lawther (1921-2008), Hugh Anthony Clegg (1900-1983), and chaired by Sir Max Rosenheim [Max Leonard, Baron Rosenheim of Camden Rosenheim, 1908-1972]. Material includes agenda and minutes from the committee, 1968-1969; attached reports and notes submitted to the committee; correspondence and letters received by Donald Reid primarily with his follow committee members relating to committee and editorial decisions relating to the reports and draft copies of the air pollution report, including annotations, tables and graphs.
