Description	Letters received by Professor Reid from Dr D Thomson, 1973-1975, regarding the possibility of a second health screening in Civil Service, also referred to as Phase II. Letters refer to the potential structure of health screening study but also the difficulties regarding financing and staff approval for the new survey. Related papers include a paper on possible prevention programmes for the new study and a draft copy of new health screening questionnaire. File also includes non-Whitehall Study material including: manuscript notes from XIth International Cancer Congress, 1974, offprints and copy of newspaper, International Clinical Equipment, January 1975, a copy of Cornell Medical Index Health Questionnaire, 1949 and punch card information for studies including study of RAF personnel.
