Description
He is interested in WS Thayer's letter to Ross and will keep it for a few days before returning it. It would appear to confirm that only the anopheles carry malaria and he has been told that Ross' doubts on the subject were raised by reading an article by R Koch rather than on observation. Remarks that Koch's reasoning is based on negative evidence and asks Ross for his opinion.
