TitleLetter from Arthur De Courcy Scanlan
Date9/2/1918
DescriptionThanks Ross for telegraphing him in answer to a query about malaria being transmitted by blood transfusion. He says that six of the patients had no history of being exposed to malaria but they might have been infected by blood on the intravenous syringe used for injecting kharsivan and that the high mortality was due to the large amount of infected material inoculated. This letter is incorrectly dated January.
