DescriptionHe has been told that Knott is writing the biography of P G Tait and asks if he has found the manuscript which Ross sent to Tait in 1891. He explains that he had discovered that his theory was an "independent rediscovery of that of Grassmann" and approached Tait again in 1900, but he had forgotten the matter.
