He feels that the men he appointed as residents at the hospital are now trying to oust him from control and that he would like to retire, but if he does, Lagos will lapse into its former condition. Asks Ross to think of him if he hears of a suitable post with a commercial concern and he is due to come on leave and needs it badly as he has been ill for months, The Ladies League keeps asking for money and doing nothing but his lectures have been successful
