Title
Letter from Charles Donovan, Professor of Physiology, Medical College, Madras to Ross
Date
11/11/1903
Description
He has heard form FEP Mesnil that Laveran thinks that the bodies he has found are a new parasite of the Piroplasma genus. He has sent short papers to the British Medical Journal and the Indian Medical Gazette suggesting that his cases of fever are kala-azar and asking for slides of splenic tissue to be sent to him. He has no intention of asking the government to support his research, that he thinks that he has found a dormant stage in malignant tertian malaria and includes a water-colour sketch.
