Description
Copies of his report for the Secretary of State for India are not yet sent so he asks Manson to send him one of the copies he encloses, with JTW Leslie's letter and ask for permission to mention it at the British Medical Association meeting. Describes the appearance of germinal rods which he stains with a strong salt solution and says that he thought that they might be spermatozoa but then discovered them in the thorax. The climate in Calcutta is 'hell' and that he would like to leave India. Quotes a letter from Laveran (Ross/14/04) and thanks Manson for his help over the Malaria Commission saying that the 'Govt of India is a mule as regards science' and that he is prepared to retire and work elsewhere.
