His application for an increased pension from the India Office has been refused, although such pensions are frequently given to men who do no more than their duty, and that he has been forced to give up teaching and come to London to set up practice for economic reasons. Explains that he intends to take up publicly the gross underpayment of research and teaching staff at the Schools of tropical medicine
