Key to some of the abbreviations used on graphs, CCF- congestive cardiac failure, LVF- left ventricular failure and CAT- coronary artery thrombi (blood clot).
Systolic refers to the blood pressure when the heart (left ventricle) is contracting.
Diastolic refers to the period after contraction where the heart is expanding.
Thromboembolisms can be described as obstructing the flow of a blood vessel due to a thrombus (blood clot).
