Caption on reverse: On the opening day of the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, visitors were shown round the building. Here, Mr Langley (centre), hospital secretary, points out a new slip lamp in the Opthalmic Clinic. The visitors here include Mrs Bolton, a member of the Board of Governors (right), Mr FW Beek, Assistant Secretary to the Minstry of Health (second from left) and Dr el Hadi el Nagar (thrid from right) of the Sudan University, who is at present giving a course of lectures to students at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, some of whom are in this picture.
