Description	The MRC Medical Sociology Unit was set up in Aberdeen in 1964 to apply the methods of sociology to the study of health and illness. In 1985, the Unit moved to Glasgow and was based in Glasgow University. Documents include two reports on current research by the unit that include a number of AIDS related researches on the Scottish population.
