DescriptionManson says that, although it does not seem to matter if malaria infected blood is hydrated or dehydrated for ex-flagellation to take place, he find that if a blood drop is put on a dry slide with the minimum of exposure to air ex-flagellation does not take place, whereas it does on a breathed-on slide. He has stopped publication of Ross' paper in the British Medical Journal in case he wishes to reconsider the matter. He describes his staining of flagella and asks Ross to send mosquitoes preserved in glycerine
