Title
Letter from Sir Cavendish Boyle, Governor, Mauritius
Date
30/5/1910
Description
He is still waiting for the report of the Royal Commission but, because of a decrease in malaria and a good sugar crop, the island's finances are in a better state, although all he has been able to do to implement Ross' recommendations is to continue to provide for the work organised by Donald d'Emmerez de Charmoy. He is due to leave Mauritius in August but, because of the uncertain political situation in Britain, does not know what he will be offered and encloses a copy of a speech (Ross/90/03/66)
