Wishes Ross a pleasant stay in Bombay and says that LG Barbeau is doing his best to give effect to the recommendations in Ross' report and it is still hoped that the Colonial government will find the money to carry them all out. It has given more money for minor works, he has convict labour at his disposal and is working on the drainage around Phoenix while the Health Department is canalising one of the rivers
