AdminHistory | In April 1902 received a letter from Prince Auguste d'Arenberg, President of the Compagnie du Canal Maritime de Suez, asking of Ross' advice regarding the increase of malaria in recent years in Ismailia, the headquarters town of the company, situated halfway along the Canal, close to Lake Timsa. Ross departed London on 12 September 1902, reached Port Said on 17th September accompanied by Sir William MacGregor. Left on 29 September, reaching Liverpool on 6 October. |
