Description
Before he left Freetown the Governor showed him his dispatch to the Colonial Secretary and that he had protested that for an independent inquiry to be held then was too late, but the Governor had said that an independent inquiry would benefit other West African countries. Thinks that the alternations were made at the insistence of WT Prout.
