Description
Grassi was pleased to receive Ross' specimens as he has been having difficulties with proteosoma infections but he had identified Ross' dapple-winged mosquito as Anopheles pictus. He is dubious about Culex pipiens being a host for malaria and says that Ross must be in error in thinking this. The Italians have shown him preparations in mosquito eggs which indicate that the malaria infection is hereditary and that HG Plummer has suggested better methods of preserving specimens. Asks for further mosquito specimens.
