TitleLetter from Herbert James Read, Principal Clerk, Colonial Office to Ross
Date20/12/1909
DescriptionThe Crown Agents have been told unofficially to pay the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine £900. If both schools of tropical medicine were on a firm financial footing there would be more money for research. He has just got £50 from the Foreign Office 'on behalf of Zanzibar' which they are going to use to start RT Leiper on an investigation of schistosomiasis and that he has had over 1000 requests from the colonies for a book on malaria by SP James and is sure that there would be a similar demand for a malaria bulletin
