Description
Suggests that Ross might find a man to abstract official reports for the Journal and explains that he cannot go to Ismailia unless his expenses are paid, as he has loss the bulk of his income for some time as a result of the San Francisco earthquake. He is applying for the Quick Professorship in Biology, although he is convinced it will be offered to F Schaudinn and if he does not get it he will have to leave Cambridge and look elsewhere
