Description
SP James never expected to succeed with the anti-malaria campaign at Mian Mir and that in Kuala Lumpur things became very bad before the authorities adopted Watson's recommendations, whereas in Singapore they adopted them immediately and the improvement was also immediate. He has high hopes of the new governor and has offered to give up his work to train the new men arriving in the Federated Malay States, but that the decision rests with the new Director General of Medical Services who has not yet arrived.
