TitleCopy of a letter from Ross to Joseph Austen Chamberlain, Member of Parliament, East Worcestershire
Date8/1/1914
DescriptionDespite the large sums of money given to the schools of tropical medicine which have been spent on buildings, the staff are very poorly paid, so that no-one is eager to do research or to administer the schools. In an effort to bring this to public attention he has decided to petition Parliament, as E Jenner had done successfully, and he feels that the state which has gained the most benefit from the work of the schools of tropical medicine should contribute much more to their upkeep. He has sent in a petition and is still awaiting a reply from the Chancellor of the Exchequer and asks for Chamberlain's help in pressing the matter
