Title
Copy of a letter from Ross to Francis Chatillon Danson, Vice-Chairman, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine
Date
27/9/1918
Description
Inquires again if his acceptance of a vice-presidency would prejudice his claim to a pension. The University superannuation scheme can hardly be compared to an Indian Medical Service pension and he was forced to give up contributing to it when he resigned his chair in 1912 even though he remained on the staff of the university and was willing to continue his contributions. Sir AL Jones and Sir RW Boyce had promised him a pension as soon as funds were available but could not give him a written assurance
