W T Prout threatened legal proceedings to obtain the position at Royal Southern Hospital just after Ross left for Mauritius. The committee refused to be blackmailed. If Prout continues to press for the position, Ross should publicise Prout's mistaking an insect hair for a filaria (Ross/113/07/22)
