Description
Ross describes at length the circumstances which prevent his obtaining a good post in the Indian Medical Service and says that D Robertson is trying to obtain a post in the Foreign Department for him. He asks Manson to use his influence on his behalf and says that if he does not get a good post he will be obliged to resign as he cannot wait indefinitely for the Indian Government to sanction a malaria inquiry. This letter is annotated 'never sent'.
