Contains: a reprint of two of Dr Smith's articles, 'Nutritional Conditions and Diseases in the Civilian Internment Camp, Hong Kong' and 'Nutritional Neuropathies in the Civilian Internment Camp, Hong Kong, January 1942 - August 1945'; a copy of MRC special report series no. 247: 'Dificiency Diseases in Japanese Prison Camps', by Dr Smith and Michael Woodruff, 1951; reprint of an article by R Cecil Robertson, Soloman Board and John Chen entitled, 'The Post Mortem Appearances in Acute Cardiac Beri-Beri', August 1941; notes [possibly by Dr Smith] on calorie values of different diets, death rates of various diseases, imports and exports and refugee camp diets, 1938-1941 and reports of a nutrition survey by Lai Po-Chuen sent to Dr Smith concerning the nutrition of children attending the free food kitchen, Wanchai, February 1947 and employees of British Cigarette Company Ltd, Hong Kong, January - February 1947.
