Title
African HIV Policy Network
Description
The African HIV Policy Network (AHPN) is an organisation that influences policy in regards to health issues that affect African people in the UK, through lobbying and campaigning for change. Made up of organisations, individuals and groups their goal is to improve the health of African people. African people are less likely to have access to resources and services to better their health due to lack of services and organisations near or in their communities. They are also less likely to be the focus of health related studies, meaning that education on health and wellbeing of African people is often inadequate. AHPN is an organisation whose objective is to minimise the gap of inequality by being a platform for other organisations to expand their services and resources. The AHPN run a variety of programmes yearly to address this and participate in advocacy on behalf of the UK African community.
