Description | Public health campaign and evaluation material collected and produced in France. The majority of the material refers to national HIV/AIDS prevention campaigns produced directly by CFES (French Committee for Health Education) until 1989 and then AFLS (French Agency for the Fight Against AIDS) but also indirectly through NGOs such as AIDES. Other material relates to organisations set up to prevent and treat drug misuse or for the gay community as well as epidemiological and social research evalaution relating to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Campaign material includes leaflets, booklets, posters, education packs and a graphic novel along with manuscript notes, reports and periodicals.
Evaluation material includes manuscript notes from the three country visits from Kaye Wellings (1990) and Claire Gibbons (1990 and 1993). Also includes journals and reports on the French HIV epidemic, popular press coverage of HIV/AIDS and surveillance and evaluation reports of HIV/AIDS cases and impact of public health campaigns. The majority of the material unless stated is written in French but there are a number of stickered labels on the material providing information on the creating organisation and when the material was received. |
