The following is written by Ross on the original envelope that the sub-series was held in:
1. Malaria literature 1897-1898 reporting the discovery that malaria is caused by mosquitoes.
2. Proposal to make Grassi a Hon. Fellow of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine, rejected on my motion.
3. Grassi threatens to sue Mr Murray and myself for libel. I offer to cancel everything I said of him if he will do the same regarding me! Of course he did not dare to take any legal action and he refused my suggestion.
