12 - Letters from Patrick Manson to Ross on Ross' research into the transmission of malaria by mosquitoes

Title
Letter
Date
5/8/1898
Description
Manson is recovering from gout but is still 'frightfully weak'. He adds that the Royal Society's proposals of a research scholar to study with Ross and two bacteriologists to go to Central Africa to study blackwater fever are 'quite inadequate' and that he has protested about them to the Colonial Office and encloses a letter from them (Ross/12/54). He suggests that Ross looks for the germinal rods in mosquito eggs.
