Letter from Walter M Gay seeking promotion to sergeant Walter says that he has been acting corporal without pay and a request was made by R. McCarrison for him to be promoted to sergeant but no reply was given. He adds that he would like paid promotion and there is a note from B.W Cherrett supporting his request. 25/8/1917
