Letter from William Smith Greenfield, Professor of Pathology, Edinburgh University Greenfield says that he has seen P G Tait who says that he sent Ross' paper to either Cayley or Sylvester for comment, adding that he could not recall anymore about it, but like to ask him where the manuscript was. 31/3/1900
