  <dc:description>Conference papers and reports relating to the 'Workshop on AIDS in Central Africa' held at the Institut Pasteur in Bangui, Central African Republic, 22-25 October 1985. The conference was organised by the World Health Organisation and was the first meeting of African countries on AIDS and provided the first practical case-definition of AIDS to help diagnose it. The papers include a list of participants and the papers delivered at the conference with background material; an English language report on the conference; copy of magazine publication, Laborama, on AIDS and a letter received from the World Health Organisation providing a draft reporting form for AIDS. The majority of the material is written in French with some English and Dutch script. </dc:description>
